Default Slednutz Ride 2010

When is the ride going to be this season? My understanding is that is typically late January or early February. That is right when Bryan's baby is due. Is the trip going to be moved to March? I am all for the western Yoop again. I don't think you can get much more central than that. I just wanted to get the thread started to see what everyone is thinking. Who is planning this thing? Cuzzy?

Attendee list as of 1/27/2010

Most are arriving on Friday 1/29 and departing Tuesday 2/2

fgsacts (Frat House)
CuzzinOlaf (Frat House)
Mud (Peppermill)

I am planning on coming, Bryan was telling me that he could probably make it if it was in March.

I'm down for a week. I guess with all you fuckers having babies it's gonna be a little harder to nail a date lol. I'm on board whenever it is.

If my baby had been planned it would have scheduled it for May!

As soon as she told me the expected due date, I said "Dammit babe, you're fucking up my snowmobiling season"! She took it well.... lol.

We're Feb 11th, plus or minus 4 days. I'll find out more tomorrow (how many, boy/girl, etc).

Do we do the trip as usual and try to make it up to ride with Bryan in March or reschedule?

With the words El Nino floating around for this winter I'm scared March could be crap. I'll be up for riding in March if it is good but think we should continue the ride at the same time as the last two years.... no offense Bryan. We have multiple people coming from far away who usually ride from their house or closer places then the UP. If people think conditions are (or might be) crap they won't commit.

I still don't think Bryan will make the trip with a less than one month old sitting at home but that is just me.

Bryan - how do you feel about all of this?

I had a blast with you guys last year but I wouldn't be offended if you guys kept it the same as usual (Early Feb).

I know it would be tough for me to commit to the beginning of March with my first 1 month old but my wife is a seasoned vet with handling the kids...lol

Plus if she complained I'd give her a black eye or two

I am perfectly fine with keeping the Nutz ride the last weekend in jan/first weekend in feb. and not making it this year. However; with the advent of having 2+ children's birthdays (Dom and whatever I'm having) that first week in Feb.; we may need to reschedule that ride permanently after this year. Plus Slick'd be out. If it was any other members but him and I, I would say fuck it. But since I'm detrimental....lmao....
You all know I'm all for "the show must go on" so go for the official nutz ride as planned; I can still make other ones (Dec. and March) this year.

We'll figure out 2010/2011's official nutz ride date next summer when we have nothing else to do lol.

I have been really thinking about going this year and doing everything possible to make it happen, but if the ride is going to be in March count me out for sure.

Wouldn't have made a difference, pictures and word got around that you were eating dirt with the LAW, and sound a sleep by 10PM!!! Kind of sounds like your momma called your cell# and tucked you in!!!!!
Besides, with where we live at, normally December, January, and February are good months to ride around here, but I do here your El Nino story as well, but end of March and early April seems to drop 30 plus inches on us of wet sloppy Snow. Hoping for that to be spread out this season, but who can predict? If the season to come is anything like this Summer, no Rain for a month, talking drought, then wouldn't stop raining for 2 months, now no rain again for a month, glad to be a weather man!!!

Rock you can't make it the first week in Feb? I'm all for the beginning of Feb like that last 2 years, no telling what conditions will exist in March.

I doubt I can make the first week of Feb. Unless I could get ultra douche to carpool with me. Then I could make it.

So what are the dates for this thing? If there is going to be a large group we should lock down some reservations. I know Cuzz talked to Peppermill the other day and they were already getting bookings. Does everyone agree that we should do the Rockland area again? Is it to far in advance to even be worried about this, lol? I tend to over plan due to my schedule. I just thought I would get the conversation started.

Please let me know what everyone wants to do. I'll be handling all bookings and reservations for the group. I love to plan things and be in control.

Never too far ahead to ensure there is still lodging available. I'm game for the Rockland area again, unless you guys wanna try around Paradise?

Thats a good thing. I should be able to swing 4-5 days. I am going to talk to my boss about it.

I am fine with either of the dates, but would probably prefer late January/early February.

No no no Cuzzy. I am in the same boat as you are. No need to get in the middle. I would just like to at least lock down the dates and location so I can plan my schedule accordingly. Once that is agreed upon, and assuming it is going to be Rockland again, someone should reserve the large house. Peppermill charges by the person/night so people can delay the decision if they can make it or not IMO.

Just for the sake of trying to get the time and location addressed, I am proposing arriving on Friday, January 29 and departing on Tuesday, January 2. I would propose Rockland again for the reasons stated above. I talked to Bryan and he agrees that the ride should be scheduled around the same time it has been. He will try and make it up in March after the baby is born.
